the competition
     There sure has been all sorts of gold buyers coming into the market lately and with that comes some risk. We thought we would explain a few of the scenarios in which the competition operates...

* The gold kit -
These out of state companies are all of the TV and radio. Maybe you have seen or heard them. The basics, They basically mail you a pre-addressed envelope, ask you to mail them gold and then they mail you a check. Sounds simple however what is not disclosed is how much they actually pay. You are basically at their mercy and if you wish to turn down their offer they send you back your gold in its processed form which means a glob of gold. Just to see what these companies offered we sent them a 5 gram credit suisse bar and a 14kt gold rope chain that weighed roughly 9.2 dwt. They sent us 9.37!!! Thats right, they sent us just 9.37 for what was hundreds of dollars worth of gold. We hear complaints about these gold kit companies all the time in the business...

* The refiner -
Sure sounds like a great idea doesn't it? Just mail your gold items off straight to the refiner and you will get the most for your gold right? Well, Not so fast. If you read the "fine print" You will see that the only way to make out with the refiner is by refining very large amounts of gold. If all you have is a few pieces then they will not pay you a high percentage of the gold content. Plus you will have assay fees, shipping costs, Processing fees, paperwork to fill out , weeks to wait and so much more...

* Pawn shops-
Lets face it, if you take your gold items or valuables  to a pawn shop they will surely buy your items. However, after our local investigation concluded of some of the local areas largest and smallest pawn shops alike we found that they all pay within the same general range, approximately 28-32% of the items actual worth. Think about that for a moment, If you take 100.00 worth of golf to a pawn shop they, on average will only give you 28..00!!! WOW. Forget if you have fine estate items like diamonds as the percentage is even worse...

* The small time dealer/buyer-
These small time dealers whole lively hood depends on paying the lowest possible price for your items so that they can turn around and sell to the Estate Buyer of Indianapolis. Most of these small time dealers/buyers don't have the liquid assets on hand to buy your estates and that is a reason in common for why they offer so little.

* Jewelry stores-
We won't mislead you, there are some good jewelry stores in our opinion that pay somewhat fairly for gold and jewelry items. The problem? They still don't pay the highest possible price. How do we know? Because in many instances, After the jewelry stores buy gold and jewelry items from you, they turn around and sell those SAME items to us. Why not even come directly to the source and get the most for your valuables...

There are more that could be added to the list but in conclusion, The estate Buyer of Indianapolis is your best bet to get the top dollar for your items that your looking for. Call us at 317-496-5581 and lets discuss getting you the most for your valuables. You can come to one of our locations, offices in common or we will make house calls upon request.
